Venue + Logistics

  • When do I have access to the venue?

    You will have access to Tamory Hall on the day of your event starting at 8am. All the tables and chairs will be set per your layout design when you arrive.  We have a lights on policy at 11pm and all decorations need to be removed by 11:59pm to avoid an additional $100 per hour charge.

  • What does the Rental Fee include?

    The Rental Fee includes 4750 sq ft of open, historical space in the heart of Pella, Iowa with a reception capacity of 325; free Wi-Fi; your choice of black, white and/or ivory table linens; round, rectangular, and cocktail tables; black, folding banquet chairs; access to our classic Bridal Suite up until the time of your ceremony; AV equipment; separate bar area; lounge with additional seating; layout design, set-up, and tear down; and open vendor policy (with the exception of alcohol).

  • Are there any decor limitations?

    We are very proud of the historical significance of our building and have been careful and very intentional to preserve that history and to also provide a beautiful, modern space for any event. We ask that nothing be attached to the walls or hung from the ceiling - everything must be free standing.

  • Does Tamory provide AV equipment and additional lighting, if needed?

    State-of-the-art audiovisual equipment is available for your use to display videos, slide presentations, and hold remote conference meetings. Hand held and wireless microphones feed into our house surround system. In addition, your own personal playlist may be played through our system. We are happy to work with you to accommodate any additional lighting needs.

  • What parking is available?

    There are over 600 public parking spaces available in the downtown business district. All loading and unloading will take place in the rear of the facility.

Food + Beverage

  • Are we able to use a caterer of our choice?

    Yes, absolutely! Tamory Hall welcomes all licensed caterers. If needed, we are happy to assist you with the selection of a caterer or provide you with a list of our preferred caterers in the area. All caterers must be licensed, and all food brought into Tamory Hall must be prepared in a licensed kitchen. You will need to let our staff know who will be handling your event so that we can coordinate set up and delivery times and provide Tamory Hall vendor procedures.

  • What bar services will Tamory provide?

    Tamory Hall has a beautiful bar area available to provide beer, wine, seltzers, and/or soft drinks during your event. All alcohol must be purchased through Tamory Hall and remain on the premises, and no outside alcohol may be brought onto the premises. If any is found, it will be confiscated and the host of the event will be charged $500. Your caterer may bring in non-alcoholic beverages.

    Our bar options are as follows:

    Cash Bar - Everyone is able to order as they wish from Tamory Hall’s selection and pay for their own drinks with either cash, debit or credit card, or Venmo.

    Hosted Bar - As the host, you work with Tamory Hall to create a bar menu of your choice and cover all costs for your guests. A 7% sales tax fee and 20% service fee will be invoiced to the host. Should you run through your selection, you may either cover the costs of your guests’ use of Tamory’s selection or open the bar to a Cash Bar.

  • When do you need a final headcount?

    We ask that you provide us with a final headcount at least 4 weeks prior to your event.

Contract + Payment

  • How do we make a reservation and payment?

    A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the rental fee, along with a signed contract, are required to reserve your event date.

  • What is the cancellation policy?

    Give us a call to discuss our cancellation and rescheduling policies.

  • When do you need a final headcount?

    We ask that you provide us with a final headcount at least 4 weeks prior to your event.
